Tears As Abia Born Newly Recruited Military Officer Dies In Accident After Visiting His Village. Abia Born newly recruited Nigeria Military officer,Iheanyi Ezeugo who hails from Umuntugha kindred, in Amuke village in Isiahaba Autonomous Community, Isiala Ngwa South in Abia State has died  in an accident on his way back to Maiduguri after visiting  village According to a Facebook post by his heartbroken Class mate Alozie Joy , she lamented how the Young military officer suffered to attain to the height he was before he died. "After many years of Suffering. So this how they Ended you.... After the Long Journey. We and your Classmates was waiting to Congratulate you this December 2023...So instead of Congratulations is now RIP. This is so disheartening . May God console his family and loved ones".

NC, PEACE CORPS, PROF. DICKSON AKOH, WAS TODAY A SPECIAL GUEST AT THE GATHERING OF AFRICAN YOUTH LEADERS to DISCUSS SUB-REGIONAL SECURITY

The National Commandant, Peace Corps of Nigeria, Prof. Dickson Akoh, was today a Special Guest at the gathering of African Youth leaders to discuss Sub-Regional Security. He delivered a goodwill address as one of the critical stakeholders in security in the sub African region. The National Commandant was joined at the event by the Chief of Army Staff, Minister of the FCT Administration, the Head of Desk, Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs amongst other notable stakeholders in the security sector. The event was organized by Pan-African Youth Union in collaboration with National Youth Council of Nigeria . This is the first West Africa Youth Security Summit on security.  The event which took place at the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja has it's Theme as "Regional Security: Exploring the Youth Demography and it's Assets for a secured Region."

Hope Rises as Nigerian Peace Corps Establishment Bill is Not Part of Rejected Bills Taken to the National Assembly  Development emerging from the Extraordinary Joint Meeting of the Peace Corps Council and the National Executive Council of the Peace Corps of Nigeria held in Abuja on the 6th of June, 2023 indicated that the Nigerian Peace Corps Establishment Bill may have seen the light of the day even though the organization is yet to get official and formal communication regarding the development surrounding the bill at the moment. While addressing members of the Peace Corps Council and the National Executive Council, the National Commandant, Prof. Dickson Akoh expressed optimism on the state of the Nigerian Peace Corps Bill, he described the current state of things as a seeming uncertainty which he is positive will be over sooner than expected. He urged Men and Officers of the Corps to remain steadfast in the pursuit of enshrining the desired peace in our dear nation....

Many of us that are conversant with social media, will observe that till the end of the last administration of the former president, President Mohamed Buhari, he was unable to ascent to our Bill, nor reject it.  What does this mean? It is a special grace that he did not reject it, and by the special grace of God, no hope is lost. Because some people have been panicking, entertaining fear, and so on. I received a lot of calls. But I want you to know that no hope is lost on the bill.  According to the Nigeria Constitution Section 58 subsections 4 and 5, The President has the grace of 30 days to ascent to a bill or decline it.
