LIFESTYLE: IN POLITICS LOVE IS NOT ENOUGH! THE EMOTIONAL TRAUMA THE GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATE OF LABOR PARTY IN LAGOS, GBADEBO VIVOUR IS PASSING THROUGH RIGHT NOW

LOVE IS NOT ENOUGH. I can understand the emotional trauma the gubernatorial candidate of Labor Party in Lagos, Gbadebo Vivour is passing through right now. I believe his parents who are the architect of his political misfortune are also not happy right now. Gbadebo has opportunity to become Lagos state governors in 2023 but because of the intertribal marriage between his father (Yoruba) and his mother ( Igbo), his ambition has been dashed. His Yoruba people roundly campaigned against him and called him all sorts of names simply because his father was married to an Igbo woman. Because of that, he was not regarded as a Yoruba man. It is important that when love is killing you suffery suffery, please remember not to put the future of your would-be children in jeopardy. What is the benefit of marrying out of love but your children will later in future be disallowed from attaining some certain elective positions in their state simply because they were products of intertribal mar...

INVESTIGATION: HOW 51 PEOPLE DIED AFTER GOV. AYADE'S ADMINISTRATION ABANDONED A WATER PROJECT

INVESTIGATION: How 51 people died after Gov. Ayade's administration abandoned a water project EKUREKU, CROSS RIVER: On December 14, 2022, Eleng Orji Imoke's life was torn apart after his wife became seriously ill. She had started complaining of weakness in her joints and then a stomach upset that saw her running nearly every two minutes to use the toilet. Imoke is from Ekureku, a rural community in southern Nigeria's Cross River State. At first, he felt his wife's ailment was nothing serious and could be self-managed. "I did not know what was wrong with her. So we managed and got her drugs from the chemist (a local patent medicine store)," he said, fighting back tears. "She was always rushing to the toilet and sometimes found it difficult to eat." On December 15, she became unconscious. It was then Imoke rushed her to the community's public health centre. Unfortunately, she died that night at the hospital.  Two days later, his eight-y...

DURING LUNCH AT WORK, I ATE 3 PLATES OF BEANS (WHICH I KNOW I SHOULDN'T).

DURING LUNCH AT WORK, I ATE 3 PLATES OF BEANS (WHICH I KNOW I SHOULDN'T). During lunch at work, I ate 3 plates of beans (which I know I shouldn't). When I got home, my husband seemed excited to see me and exclaimed delightedly, "Darling I have a surprise for dinner tonight." He then blindfolded me and led me to my chair at the dinner table. I took a seat and just as he was about to remove my blindfold, the telephone rang. He made me promise not to touch the blindfold until he returned and went to answer the call.  The beans I had consumed were still affecting me and the pressure was becoming unbearable, so while my husband was out of the room I seized the opportunity, shifted my weight to one leg and let one go.  It was not only loud, but it smelled like a fertilizer truck running over a skunk in front of a garbage dump! I took my napkin from my lap and fanned the air around me vigorously. Then, shifting to the other leg, I ripped off three more. The stink...

RAVEN L, THE RESPONSE TO THE SITUATION: THE ONLY BIRD THAT DARES TO PECK AN EAGLE IS THE RAVEN

ON MARBLE,THE RESPONSE TO THE SITUATION: THE ONLY BIRD THAT DARES TO PECK AN EAGLE IS THE RAVEN. The only bird that dares to peck an eagle is the raven. It sits on the eagle's back and bites its neck. However, the eagle doesn't respond or fight with the raven, it just opens its wings and begins to fly higher in the sky.  The higher the flight, the harder it is for the raven to breathe and the raven eventually falls due to lack of oxygen. Not all battles you need to respond to. Not all arguments or critics you need to respond to or answer back. Just lift a standard they will fall off.  Stop wasting time with the raven. Just take them at your height, and they will fade away. May God take us to a height where it will be difficult for the enemy to peck us. Wishing you a successful endeavor as you continue in the journey of life.

TEN TIPS TO LIVE A SUCCESSFUL AND HAPPY LIFE

Ten Tips to Live a Successful and Happy Life 1. Do not over analyse every little thing: Over analysing interferes with your ability to solve problems as it causes you to dwell on the problem and imagine things that may never happen, rather than finding a solution. 2. Don’t get jealous and unhappy looking at someone else’s social media: It maybe a lie, it may not be. Even if it is true, no point staying upset. You can take it as an inspiration, and work towards it, if that is where you want to be or what you want. 3. Complaining won’t take you anywhere: It annoys people and doesn't help you. But initiative and resourcefulness will. Success simply does not happen unless you work hard for it. 4. You don’t need to quit your job and travel the world just because someone on the internet said so. It is perfectly possible to have your job and still travel the world while getting paid. All you need to do is to plan well or develop the career that allows you to do so.  5. Just be...

ON THE THINKERS CORNER. BE IN CHARGE OF YOUR LIFE.

ON THE THINKERS CORNER.  BE IN CHARGE OF YOUR LIFE.  “Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭11‬-‭13. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me," said the Apostle, Paul. It's been the memory verse of many people in our churches. However, the actual sense of the phrase can be, and has been misconstrued by overlooking its context. A careful reading of the whole paragraph will bring out the writer's true meaning.  The Apostle Paul discloses the secret of his victory over life's everyday challenges. "Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need," he tells us. And, in fact, this r...
