THE IGBO PROFESSORS: ONE WENT DOWN WHILE ONE WENT UP. WE HAD TWO PROFESSORS THAT STOOD THEIR GROUND TO DO THE RIGHT THING DURING THE LAST GUBERNATORIAL ELECTION IN ENUGU AND ABIA STATE.

THE IGBO PROFESSORS: ONE WENT DOWN  WHILE ONE WENT UP. WE HAD TWO PROFESSORS THAT STOOD THEIR GROUND TO DO THE RIGHT THING DURING THE LAST GUBERNATORIAL ELECTION IN ENUGU AND ABIA STATE. 

We had two professors that stood their ground to do the right thing during the last gubernatorial election in Enugu and Abia state. They are the Electoral Returning Officers that oversaw the gubernatorial election of the two states. The one of Enugu is a man while the one of Abia state is a woman. Unfortunately, the Enugu professor who is my gender failed and succumbed to intimidation but the one of Abia state stood her ground like a lioness and did the right thing by declaring the rightful candidate as the winner of the gubernatorial election. 

Millions of Naira was offered to her as bribe money but she rebuffed them. I believe she might have been threatened too but she risky it all and declared Dr Alex Otti of LP the winner of the election. I must confess to you that I am jealous of her integrity. I am glad that finally, I saw a person who exhibited the true characteristics of a professor which are courage, integrity and competence.

No wonder Peter Obi loves to work with women, now I can understand better. When a woman say enough is enough, they hardly have second thoughts. That is why if you are cheating on your woman and she warns you but you continues to cheat on her, the day she will carryout a revenge either by cheating on you too or by adding rat k!ller in your food as salt, she will never think twice about it.

It pained me that my gender professor who is the Electoral Returning Officer in Enugu failed Enugu people. He supposed to stood his ground like the lioness professor in Abia state who stood her ground and did the right thing despite the order from Abuja.

Today, she is the hero of the election. Look at those states where election were rigged, they were all manned by male INEC Electoral Returning Officers. They were all bought over and they all succumbed to the lures of money and greed.

My prayer for this very INEC Electoral Returning Officer of Abia state is that God will bless her generations. Her children will never be cheated upon and non of their mates will be greater than them. 

May God preserve her for greater assignment for us in the future.
